Frequently Asked Questions about Financial Aid

The 91²Ö¿â is committed to supporting an economically diverse community.

List of 14 frequently asked questions.

  • Will my application for financial aid negatively affect my child's chances for admission?

No. 91²Ö¿â’s Admissions Committee decisions are not negatively impacted by a family’s financial aid application.
  • Who can apply for financial aid?

We encourage any family who finds the full cost of tuition prohibitive to attend to apply for financial aid.
  • Do I need to reapply each year?

Yes, because family finances and assets may change from year to year, grants are allocated on an annual basis for one year only. Every year families must reapply if they wish to be considered for financial aid.
  • Will financial aid at 91²Ö¿â continue in future years?

In extending a financial aid grant to a family, 91²Ö¿â attempts to support the student's attendance for the entire time they are enrolled, pending continued need. If your financial circumstances change, and your ability to contribute to your child's educational expenses increases, your grant may be decreased accordingly. If your ability to pay educational expenses decreases, 91²Ö¿â will make every effort to increase the grant.
  • Does a financial aid grant need to be paid back to 91²Ö¿â?

No, financial aid grants are grants and not loans. They do not need to be repaid.
  • Is my financial aid grant confidential?

Yes. 91²Ö¿â's small administrative Financial Aid Committee keeps financial aid applications and grants confidential.
  • Is a payment plan required?

Yes. Families who receive financial aid are required to enroll in 91²Ö¿â’s Ten-Payment Tuition Plan via the Automatic Debit Program. This requires completing an automatic debit form by each parent/custodian responsible for paying the student’s tuition.
  • What is the tuition payment schedule?

Tuition payments through the Automatic Debit Program start in July and continue for nine subsequent months (excluding February). Families offered enrollment will receive a payment schedule with their enrollment materials.
  • What is "inclusion aid?"

Families granted financial aid for tuition will also receive inclusion aid to help support students and their families to participate more fully in many school-sponsored activities.
  • What if I am a single parent, never married, separated or divorced?

If parents are living separately, both custodial and non-custodial parents must complete a Clarity application and submit all required documents as we expect both parents will contribute to the education of their child.

If a parent’s whereabouts are unknown, or a claim is made stating there is no involvement in the child’s upbringing, application forms may not be required, but documentation will be required to verify that the parent has no contact with the applicant.
  • What if I have remarried, have a significant other, or my child has multiple parents?

Financial information is required of all adults, including parents, step-parents, and significant others involved in the applicant’s life. The financial information submitted to Clarity must include all household income and assets.

Non-parental adults living in the applicant's household may be asked to submit financial documentation.
  • What if I lose my job or my source of income?

This information should be included on the financial aid application if possible. Should a change in employment occur after a financial aid grant has been communicated, families should update 91²Ö¿â's Financial Aid Committee with as much supporting information as possible, including if the family is requesting additional financial aid.
  • Who can I contact at 91²Ö¿â if I have additional policy questions?

Applicant families are encouraged to contact Katrina Lappin, Director of Admissions, at lappink@cee-school.org with any financial aid questions.
